Celebrate Together – Donate Together

Students in the bachelor’s program in “Social Work” at the Catholic University of Applied Sciences in Mainz collected donations for a nonprofit project as part of their first-semester celebration.

As a result, upstairs was delighted to receive a check for 300 euros to support its work with young people in need. Under bright sunshine, Ms. El Baqqal (student representative) personally delivered the donation check.

During the check presentation, a very stimulating discussion took place, in which Ms. El Baqqal provided valuable insight into the curriculum of her degree program. The Social Work program teaches the knowledge and skills needed to support people in difficult life situations and to promote their development. For example, students can specialize in specific age and social groups, such as children and adolescents. One of the reasons the students chose the EVIM “upstairs” project for their donation is the knowledge that 100% of the money goes toward the project’s good work and thus directly benefits young people.
