Wiesbaden Youth Parliament Supports “upstairs”
It all began in November 2022 with an informal meeting between representatives of the Wiesbaden Youth Parliament and “upstairs.” This meeting ultimately led to a successful fundraising campaign and an inspiring exchange of information.
The Wiesbaden Youth Parliament raised 877 euros as part of its annual fundraising campaign. 577 euros came from external donors, and the Youth Parliament itself donated 250 euros. The goal of the annual fundraiser is to highlight the importance of social cohesion and draw attention to those members of our community who are struggling.
The donation handover took place in a cheerful atmosphere at the Reisinger-Anlagen, not far from Wiesbaden’s main train station. The youth parliament members took the opportunity to get a first-hand look at the “upstairs” mobile unit and, in turn, shared information about the Youth Parliament’s diverse areas of work.
Patrick Lahr, regional director of EVIM Youth Welfare, once again emphasized that “upstairs” has been operating solely on donations for 23 years, enabling it to provide help quickly and without red tape.
We would like to thank the Wiesbaden Youth Parliament for their wonderful commitment!
