The Soroptimist Club of Wiesbaden is once again supporting the School for Children of Professional Travelers (SfKbR)

What a great initiative! As part of a cultural event, the Soroptimists once again raised money for a STEM education project for young girls. The president of the Soroptimist International Club of Wiesbaden presented the check to EVIM.

Goethe, paintings, and fine wine—that could have been the theme of the wonderful event held at Heidemarie Scharf’s Nordenstadter Hofreite, during which a total of 1,200 euros was raised for the SfKbR. The event featured a reading of entertaining and amusing quotes from Goethe’s works, a tasting of Rheingau wines, and an exhibition of paintings by a young artist.

On July 19, 2023, the EVIM team received the check from Ms. Scharf, president of the Soroptimist International (SI) Club Wiesbaden. The check presentation took place on the grounds of the EVIM School am Geisberg and provided an opportunity to showcase not only a mobile classroom but also a mobile daycare unit.

The meeting featured a lively exchange, in which Gerhard Kopplow, former managing director of EVIM Bildung and principal of the Schule am Geisberg, also participated and gave an impressive account of the launch and further development of the SfKbR.

The funds raised will once again be used for an educational project, this time for a STEM project for young girls. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. The goal of the project is to help young girls strengthen their talents in these areas and thus provide them with equal opportunities for success. EVIM extends its heartfelt thanks to the Soroptimist International Club Wiesbaden for this wonderful support.

I’d like to help, too
