Doing Good Together with Live Music, Coffee, and Cake

The traditional St. Nicholas Day coffee party hosted by Clariant Produkte (Deutschland) GmbH, located in the Höchst Industrial Park in Frankfurt, was a special occasion for the EVIM Schlockerhof this year. At the festively decorated venue, we had the opportunity to enjoy the pre-Christmas season together with Clariant’s employees and to present our work.

After a warm welcome, those in attendance warmly welcomed us as this year’s donation recipient. Our deputy director of the EVIM Workshop Network, Mr. Bernhard Schmauch, introduced Clariant’s employees to the Schlockerhof’s diverse programs and projects. He emphasized how important this support is for the people we serve and highlighted the difference it can make in their lives.

A special highlight was the musical accompaniment provided by a Clariant employee, who played Christmas carols on his guitar and invited the guests to sing along. The musical accompaniment played a key role in creating the warm and cozy atmosphere.

We also had the opportunity to showcase the Schlockerhof’s creative and culinary offerings. Our homemade Christmas cookies, stollen, cinnamon rolls, and crusty bread from the Schlocker bakery were just as well-received as our hand-poured candles, lovingly crafted Advent wreaths, and the naturally cloudy apple juice pressed from the Schlockerhof’s orchards. These products gave guests a special insight into our work and demonstrated just how much dedication and creativity goes into the Schlockerhof.

A large donation jar invited guests at the St. Nicholas coffee gathering to give as much as their hearts desired. An impressive 800 euros in donations were collected—valuable support that will go directly toward our work. We are deeply grateful to the Clariant employees who donated cakes and pastries, making this event possible.

The St. Nicholas Coffee event was not only a wonderful opportunity for us to showcase our work, but also a striking example of the social responsibility and generous commitment of Clariant’s employees. With their help, we can continue our important work and improve the quality of life for many people.
