"Wish Tree" Campaign at the Hessian Ministry of Finance Makes the Wishes of Children in Care Come True

In the run-up to Christmas, the children were invited to write down their Christmas wishes or draw them creatively on wish lists, which were then hung on the Christmas tree at the ministry. In this way, the staff were able to fulfill a heartfelt wish for a total of 75 children from families in need. The gifts, lovingly wrapped, were collected and presented today, December 20, to EVIM Department Head Klaus Friedrich in the presence of State Secretary Dr. Martin Worms. The response from the staff and their desire to help were so great that additional wishes could even be submitted later, reported Annika Lupprich from the Internal Communications department at the Ministry of Finance. A fundraising campaign launched at the same time is still ongoing. “A generous person is like a precious gem; wherever they go, they are held in high esteem,” Dr. Martin Worms quoted from the Bible (Proverbs 17:8) during the gift presentation. “Behind every Christmas wish is a child with their own unique story. The sparkling eyes and the joy over the gift also mean experiencing the warmth and appreciation of such dedicated people,” said Klaus Friedrich, thanking everyone who made this wonderful gift and donation campaign possible.
