“Cents Ease Hardship” – ALH Group Supports Schlockerhof
Every month, participating employees of the financial services provider ALH Group—Alte Leipziger—voluntarily round down the cents on their pay stubs to donate the amounts to social projects and initiatives. What’s especially nice is that company management then doubles the amount.
Once again, truly great things were achieved through many small contributions. This year, the Schlockerhof in Hattersheim was delighted to receive support: A fantastic 5,000 euros went to the workshop for people with disabilities! “This campaign is a labor of love! We are very proud of our employees’ strong commitment to social causes,” said the ALH Group’s management. Bernhard Schmauch, deputy workshop manager at EVIM, spoke about the goals and mission of the EVIM Disability Assistance facility during the check presentation. In addition to providing individual support for vocational participation, the workshop places a clear focus on the personal development of its employees with disabilities. “The Schlockerhof plans to use a large portion of the donation to convert its warehouse into a cozy lounge for the employees. In addition, the in-house dance group ‘Schlocker-Tigers’ and other sports groups will be supported,” reported Bernhard Schmauch. He expressed his gratitude for the tremendous commitment shown by the staff and management of the financial services provider Alte Leipziger. He noted that this is by no means a given and serves as a wonderful example of community spirit and solidarity in society. (hk)
