Dreams Come True: The Christmas Wish Tree at Globus Wiesbaden Nordenstadt

In the run-up to Christmas, Globus Wiesbaden Nordenstadt continued its long-standing tradition and once again displayed a festively decorated Christmas wish tree. For over a decade, this initiative has made it possible for children and teenagers receiving outpatient or inpatient care from EVIM Jugendhilfe to have their little heart’s desires fulfilled.

The young people wrote their wishes on lovingly designed cards, which were then hung on the tree. These included “perfectly ordinary” wishes such as a soccer ball, a box of mate tea, or specific kinds of candy. Globus customers selected these cards, purchased the corresponding gifts, and generously donated them.

As always, the response was overwhelming. Shortly after the Christmas Wish Tree was set up, almost all the wish cards had been taken. Mr. John Adam, Advertising Team Leader at Globus Nordenstadt, emphasized: “Our customers are literally itching to do something.” He was also delighted by the tremendous dedication of his staff, who once again wrapped the 150 gifts with great attention to detail.

A few days before Christmas, Inge Alt and Patrick Lahr (both from EVIM Youth Services) accepted the collected gifts. These were distributed to the children and young people, who were delighted to have their wishes fulfilled.

EVIM Jugendhilfe extends its heartfelt thanks to all customers and employees of Globus Wiesbaden Nordenstadt for this heartwarming initiative. Projects like this demonstrate just how great the willingness is to make a positive difference in the community. (dn)
