Turnverein 1883 e.V.

The official handover took place on May 9 as part of this year’s event day at the EVIM facility. The donation will be used specifically to purchase special sports equipment such as motor skills balls, medicine balls with handles, and weighted cuffs.

Sports foster community and a zest for life

“We are very pleased that this will allow us to expand our sports offerings,” said Bernhard Schmauch, deputy director of the EVIM Teilhabe workshop network. The new equipment will be used primarily in vocational training programs. Under the motto “LEO – Learn – Experience – Orient,” this initiative also promotes physical activity programs for people with disabilities. Sports and physical activity play a central role at Schlockerhof: They contribute to maintaining good health, boost self-confidence, and enable participation in community life. “We are grateful for the gymnastics club’s tremendous commitment. Sports and maintaining our employees’ health are top priorities—they foster a zest for life and a sense of community,” emphasized Bernhard Schmauch.

For the gymnastics club itself, this support is also a matter close to their hearts. “As a very satisfied customer, we appreciate not only the service and quality of the offerings but also the high priority placed on fitness and sports,” explained Bernhard Weber, Chairman of the TVH Board, during the handover in front of the farm store. It is a matter of great importance to the club to promote this valuable work and to further expand the successful partnership.

With this donation, the Hattersheim Gymnastics Club once again underscores its role as an active part of the local community—not only in sports but also in social interaction. Together, both partners pursue the goal of enabling people with disabilities to lead active and self-determined lives through exercise, community, and targeted support. (hk)
