Touched by Art: Exhibition in the Bellevue Hall in Wiesbaden

About the Exhibition:

Creating Art Together. Shaping Society Together.

As part of the inclusive art project “Touched by Art,” the Bellevue Hall presents the results of a unique experiment: artists with and without disabilities engage in a creative dialogue. Ten tandems worked on new pieces over several weeks in Wiesbaden—each encounter an exchange about perception, expression, and the question of what art can be.

In the Bellevue Hall, the works are being shown for the first time independently of their creative process. They offer insights into a collaborative creative process that is otherwise rarely visible and highlight both aesthetic and social dimensions: Inclusion unleashes creative energy and demonstrates how vibrant art becomes when people engage with one another.

The exhibition features the finished works at the Reinhard Ernst Museum following their auction by Christie’s Germany. The proceeds from the auction will go toward establishing new inclusive studios for artists with disabilities. The project is being documented on film.

Participants include EVIM, eigenART, Vitos, Facettenwerk, the IFB Foundation, Lebenshilfe, and other organizations providing integration support, in collaboration with the City of Wiesbaden, the Reinhard Ernst Museum, Christie’s Germany, and the Wiesbaden Casinogesellschaft. (Source: Bellevue-Saal)
