Solidarity in Action: Hesse's Ministry of the Interior Supports upstairs

During their enchanting annual Christmas market, the ministry's employees raised over 1,000 euros for young people in need.

Last year, the Hessian Ministry of the Interior, Security, and Homeland Protection once again hosted its enchanting Christmas market, featuring a wide variety of offerings. As is tradition, funds were also raised for a good cause as part of this event. For 2023, the Staff Council decided to support the “upstairs” project run by EVIM Youth Services. Thanks to generous donations, a total of 1,072 euros was raised. The ceremonial presentation took place at the EVIM office. On January 24, 2023, Christopher Alt, Chair of the Staff Council, and Heiko Heger presented the donation check to Matthias Loyal, Chairman of the Board of EVIM. He gratefully accepted the check on behalf of “upstairs—the drop-in center for young people in need.” The upstairs team provided insight into their daily work and shared some moving personal stories that vividly illustrated the importance of the project.

We would like to express our sincere thanks for the inspiring exchange, the interest in our work, and the wonderful support. (dn)
