Everyone wants to make friends—or find true love. But it’s often hard to find a partner when you have a disability.

Friendship, sexuality, and love raise many questions. We’re here to offer guidance—including for questions from family members and organizations.

Our next “Love x Life x Celebration” party will take place on November 6, 2026, at 6 p.m. at the Schlachthof Cultural Center in Wiesbaden. Admission: 10 euros. Tickets are available at the door.

Our project is called LiebeLeben (LoveLife). We accompany and support people with disabilities.

We focus on topics such as sexuality, relationships, finding a partner, wanting children, and parenting. 

We also organize events.

Searched for and found

Warmth, security, and closeness—many people who require assistance wish to find these things in a relationship. This could be the love of their life or a partner for shared hobbies, excursions, and leisure activities. 

Since this is not always easy, there is Herzenssache.net Wiesbaden (formerly "Schatzkiste"), a protected contact and dating agency for people with disabilities. In addition to counseling, there are a variety of events that encourage clients to become active themselves. 

 

“Finding someone who’s right for you isn’t always easy. Just like in ‘real life,’ relationships come with many questions. Time and again, we see just how much uncertainty there is and how important our counseling is: How do you nurture a relationship? What’s good for me and my partner, and what isn’t? And what about kissing, love, and sex? Relationships rarely run smoothly, and when couples break up, there’s a great need for open communication. But family members and institutions also need further training.”

LOVE x LIFE x CELEBRATE

LOVE x LIFE x CELEBRATE is a large, accessible party that takes place 1–2 times a year at the Schlachthof Cultural Center in Wiesbaden. New bands are invited to each event, ensuring a varied program. The music ranges from electronic to German rock to Schlager. There’s something for everyone. All songs are interpreted in sign language on stage. There are no strobe lights. If you don’t want to hit the dance floor, you can simply listen to the music, grab a bite to eat, and have a drink. Or take a break outside.

There’s a free coat check. Plus, buttons are handed out. These buttons show whether you’re looking to meet people or would rather party in peace.
